Duomo Prestige si trova in via dei Calzaiuoli una delle strade più belle ed importanti del centro storico di Firenze. Una via molto animata con tanti negozi, che collega piazza del Duomo a piazza della Signoria, le due piazze principali della città. A pochi passi dall'appartamento si trova anche l'elegante Piazza della Repubblica che rappresentava il centro della città in epoca romana. Una casa davvero bella, moderna e completamente ristrutturata a due passi da tutti i principali monumenti della città. Dall'appartamento potrete facilmente raggiungere a piedi tutti i principali musei di Firenze come la Galleria degli Uffizi e la Galleria dell'Accademia (casa del David di Michelangelo) così come il Duomo, la Basilica di Santa Croce, Ponte Vecchio e Palazzo Pitti.
Come arrivare all'appartamento
L'appartamento si trova ad un chilometro dalla stazione ferroviaria Santa Maria Novella di Firenze, appena 10-15 minuti a piedi. In alternativa potete prendere l'autobus C2 di ATAF in piazza dell'Unità Italiana, proprio di fronte alla stazione, e scendere in via Orsammichele a pochi passi da via dei Calzaiuoli, oppure uno dei numerosi taxi che si trovano proprio fuori dalla stazione.
Dall'aeroporto Amerigo Vespucci di Firenze, ci vogliono circa 25-30 minuti di taxi per arrivare all'appartamento.

C'è un supermercato Carrefour in Via Dante Alighieri 20 ad appena 200 metri dall'appartamento. Se cercate dei locali o dei ristoranti per le vostre serate, vi consigliamo di andare nella zona del Mercato Centrale di Firenze.

Communication with the host and the check in process were both excellent. The location is very central (and, as such, you will hear noise at night). Unfortunately, there is no mention that the apartment is up 5 flights of stairs with no elevator. There are nearly 100 steps each time you enter or leave - for someone who is physically unable to navigate stairs this would be an insurmountable problem. Instead we lugged our bags up all the way. Inside, the unit is dire need of a paint job on all walls and doors. Some doors have rusty hinges. The bathroom is updated but seems out of place as the rest of the apartment is in "well-used" shape. The beds were clean and comfortable, however there was no additional bedding for anyone using the sofa bed. There was not a single picture or decoration in the apartment - just dirty white walls. A coat of paint, some decorations and CLEARLY indicating the 100 steps would be highly recommended. As such we cannot recommend this apartment.

Factual and objective review of our stay.Inaccurate Listing: The apartment was dirty upon arrival and looked significantly worse than the listing photos. It had a fundamental cleanliness issue, with dirt and debris visible on the floors and surfaces.Immediate Issue: Upon check-in, we discovered an active ant infestation across multiple rooms in this 5th-floor apartment and immediately notified the host.Inadequate Remedy: The host sent someone who heavily sprayed an aerosol pesticide (Raid) throughout the unit, including food preparation areas, bathroom, and the bedroom, rather than utilizing professional pest control or cleaning services.Lack of Communication: We evacuated the apartment to air out the chemical fumes and informed the host that the surfaces would need to be cleaned before we could safely prepare food. We received no response for two hours.Host's Response: When the host finally replied, they dismissed our safety concerns, stating there was "no health hazard" and telling us to "just open the windows." Dead and live ants remained on the uncleaned surfaces.Resolution: Due to the persistent infestation, surface contamination, general filth, and lack of host cooperation, the unit was unlivable for a family. We had to book an alternative hotel at our own expense to salvage our trip.

Great location, clean and nice flat. Only issue is that The air conditioner did not cool the place. It has been about 80 degrees in here the entire stay. No response from host on a resolution.
