The house is located in one of the main streets of the Florentine Oltrarno, a stone's throw from the Church of the Cestello and the beautiful Piazza del Carmine. This is one of the most typical areas
around the historic center of the cities where the Florence of the past can still be found.
Walking through the streets of this area you can still come across the antique dealers' shops and some of those artisan shops that have historically characterized the streets of the historic center of Florence.
This is an excellent starting point to easily reach on foot all the most important monuments and the most famous museums of Florence such as Ponte Vecchio, the Uffizi and the Duomo.
How to get to the apartment
From Florence Central Station, you can take a bus such as lines C4 and 11. Alternatively, near the station you can take a taxi to reach the apartment in a few minutes. From the Amerigo Vespucci airport in Florence it takes about thirty minutes by car to get to the apartment.

Before booking this apartment, I was told it is on the first floor. In fact, it is on the third floor from the ground; 5 separate tums on the staircase.We were advised that we should inform the agent of our arrival in Florence and that we would be met at the apartment within 10 minutes of arrival. We texted the agent our arrival time in advance and, upon arrival, texted and texted again when we were in the cab.In fact, upon our arrival at the apartment, the agent had not yet contacted the owners agent who first had to acquire the key. We waited on the street corner for close to 30 minutes.It was stifling hot and the air conditioner in the living room was not only off, but was not working. There was no air-conditioning in either of the two bedrooms. Additionally, a number of the lights were not working. We later discovered that there is a leak under one of the sinks in the master bath. There was a plastic container under the leak that was almost full to overflowing! The sink was unusable. Also, the bar which holds up the shower curtain fin the master bath is too short and falls down.The refrigerator has no working freezer. And numerous lights are either inoperable or cannot be plugged in.The apartment is a lovely apartment, but it is not fit for B&B in its current condition. We told the owner that we wanted to cancel the reservation and book a hotel. We were told there was no cancellation policy and no money would be refunded.
